Recommended Posts

Visit BSAVA Congress 2013 for free ! Does attending next year's Congress in Birmingham exceed your budget, but you would still like to go? Well, then this might be just right for you:

To improve the understanding and communication of companion animal practitioners in Europe, the British Small Animal Veterinary Association(BSAVA) organizes annually a visiting program to allow members ofemerging small animal veterinary organizations, which are part of FECAVA, to attend BSAVA Congress, which is taking place every April in Birmingham, England.

The invitation does include free access to the BSAVA Congress 2013, hotel accommodation in double rooms for the duration of congress and free access to evening functions (Reception for Foreign delegates, President's Ball, Party Night) for one group of up to four companion animal practitioners.

The visiting delegates will additionally be entitled to a free 1 year BSAVA Overseas E-membership, which gives free access to MP3 CPD lecture downloads, reduced prices for BSAVA Manuals and a whole range of other membership benefits and discounts (further details can be found at http://www.bsava.com/Membership/BenefitsofMembership/tabid/79/Default.aspx

The invitation does not include expenses to travel to Birmingham, visa cost or money spent for personal items.

BSAVA is looking ideally for a group of young practicing companionanimal veterinarians who would otherwise not be able to attend this unique event.

Interested parties are invited to send a formless application in lessthan 500 words to Dr. Wolfgang Dohne MRCVS at vet@virginvet.co.uk [2] ,describing the professional background and composition of their groupand a brief explanation why their professional work would benefit from avisit to next year's BSAVA Congress.

All applications have to be received by 30th November 2012 and will beconsidered by BSAVA's International Affairs Committee. The committee's decision will be final and the selected group of visitors will be informed before 15th December 2012, to leave enoughtime to allow for travel and – if necessary – visa arrangements.

The visiting group would be expected to participate in official eventsand receptions during Congress and to inform British colleagues about the life of companion animal veterinarians in their part of Europe.

Greetings,

Wolfgang
